This is a short video clip of our most recent Revit BIM Model of Bramley House in Notting Hill; surveyed and drawn for the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea.

Building Information Modelling (BIM) is the process of creating and managing a wide range of information for any property. Based on an intelligent 3D model, BIM combines a mass of data to produce a single digital interpretation of a property to help estate managers maintain the building across its lifecycle.

David Cosby are able to prepare highly accurate Revit BIM models of existing buildings. Our models help to consolidate all of the information about every component of a building. A BIM model makes it possible for anyone in the estate management team to access information for any purpose or to add additional information as the life span of the building evolves.

Our Revit BIM models can be used for cost-effective management and future renovations.

The Government’s Construction Strategy, published in 2011, now requires the use of BIM on all publicly procured projects. However, with increasing pressures on Local Authority budgets, all investments made by local governments also need to have a clear financial cost benefit and a swift turnaround time for payback. Although BIM models are widely perceived as only being cost effective on large scale new-build projects, this does not always have to be the case. Our competitive rates for scanning existing buildings and drawing as-built Revit BIM models help to make a sound business case for their introduction in most estate management situations. We want to help make both the short and long-term economic benefits of BIM models fully viable on properties of all sizes.
